  • Area Impacted: proposed 33.7 acres for unified complex

  • Claimed Reason for Mining: Need to level the site because the land is "undevelopable" due to Topography on site.

  • Water Supply: No

  • Plymouth Carver Sole Source Aquifer: Yes

  • Wetlands and Waterways: Vegetated wetland on site that is proposed to be filled and then replicated on site.

  • Archaeological Impacts: Within the Herring Pond Wampanoag Reservation Great Lot that was never ceded. One of the oldest Reservations in the US. See Map Below. Purple shaded area marks the reservation area, red pin marks 71 Hedges Pond Road. Site is about a half mile from a " Ancient Indian burying ground". Despite a request for an archeological study by the Herring Pond Wampanoag tribe and a Tribal Councilman from the Historic Preservation Office, no study has been required.
