Archaeological Impacts: Within the Herring Pond Wampanoag Reservation Great Lot that was never ceded. One of the oldest Reservations in the US. See Map Below. Purple shaded area marks the reservation area, red pin marks 71 Hedges Pond Road. Site is about a half mile from a " Ancient Indian burying ground". Despite a request for an archeological study by the Herring Pond Wampanoag tribe and a Tribal Councilman from the Historic Preservation Office, no study has been required.
