  • Permit: Yes. Site Plans Proposed in May 2024. Plymouth Planning Board recommended to approve the project on December 4 2024, Building Inspector issued the permit on Jan. 16th 2025.

  • 40 acres of Priority Habitat destroyed

  • Claimed Reason for Mining: Unified Complex. Developer states they need to level the site because the land is "undevelopable" due to topography on site. 

  • Solar: No

  • Water Supply: No

  • Plymouth Carver Sole Source Aquifer: Yes

  • Wetlands and Waterways: Vegetated wetland on site that is proposed to be filled and then replicated on site.

  • Archaeological Impacts: Within the Herring Pond Wampanoag Reservation Great Lot that was never ceded. One of the oldest Reservations in the US. See Map Below. Purple shaded area marks the reservation area, red pin marks 71 Hedges Pond Road. Site is about a half mile from a " Ancient Indian burying ground". Despite a request for an archeological study by the Herring Pond Wampanoag tribe and a Tribal Councilman from the Historic Preservation Office, no study has been required.
